关于请假以及补课的中文提示:一对一课程请假至少提前一个工作日并得到老师确认可以视为请假并给与当月补课机会;当天请假视为临时取消或者旷课不予补课机会。请假原则上没有取消和顺延课程的情况,主要原因是保证学生的课程进度以及老师的收入稳定,请师生互敬互爱。班课/集体课不接受个人请假取消或者补课等情况,错过的课程无法退改,老师会在课后提供上课资料(笔记、作业or视频等)帮助学生补习错过的知识点,请尽可能不要错过集体课。更多详情请务必仔细阅读完下方英文版本SCHEDULING AND MAKE-UP POLICYPAYMENT AND REFUNDS POLICY

WELCOME!  PLEASE READ ALL POLICIES 

  • YOYI Music School is a session round Music School. We bill and schedule on a session basis, with a set schedule during the school class session and packages.  
  • Phone or Email is our main way of communicating with families about school announcements. Please make sure we have current contact info for you on file. There are events we coordinate for our students throughout the year as well as other communications about recitals, billing, community outreach and more. 
  • Please check your message to stay informed about scheduling changes, school closures, billing due dates, etc. 
  • Private and group lessons may be held in outdoor parks, other public institutions, or the teacher’s home studio.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please send a Email or give us a phone call. We want you to have a great experience at our school!  
  • Students are able to sign up at any time during the sessions at a prorated amount. Contact the customer service for details.

SCHEDULING AND MAKE-UP POLICY

Private class: 

  • When you register for a private class, you will bind the class time separately with our teacher.
  • You have to attend classes at a designated time every week.
  • If you ask for leave, contact the school scheduling staff at least 24 hours in advance and get confirmation. And arrange for make-up classes.
  • Asking for leave within 24 hours of class is considered a missed class, and no make-up classes are arranged. Private teachers can record videos or arrange homework for students during class time.
  • If you schedule a makeup lesson and then miss the makeup for any reason without 24 hours’ notice, you will lose this make-up point. Make-up lessons are only available for registered/active students. Makeup credits must be used in 30 days. Points that have not been used for more than 30 days will be automatically reset to zero. 

Group class or camp event :

  • There is no chance to make up the class in the group class or Camp event. You will miss the class regardless of whether you ask for leave or not. If you are sure that you can’t come, please notify the scheduling staff at least one night in advance. After the class is over, we will try to inform the class-related content as much as possible.

PAYMENT AND REFUNDS POLICY

  • No refunds will be made for missed lessons, including lessons that qualify for make-ups.
  • Group class or Camp event Refunds need to be requested 15 days prior to course star day. No refunds will be accepted within 15 days Including the course has already started. The cost of group lessons cannot be calculated separately.
  • Private class Refunds need to be requested 7 days prior to class. No refunds will be accepted for courses within 7 days. Private lesson fees can be calculated for lessons 7 days after the refund is made.
  • The $15 registration fee is non-refundable, and a $15 processing fee will be charged for each refund.
  • We only accept prepayment for classes. Please be sure to pay tuition before the bill date or there will be a $5 late fee. If tuition is not received 24 hours before class starts, the late fee will become $15.                                       

ETIQUETTE

PARENT AND ADULT STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY: 

It is the parent’s responsibility to be aware of dates and events, closures and changes of schedule.  We will communicate significant events via WeChat, on our website, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the parents or adult students to know about these events.  

It is the parent’s/adult student’s responsibility to notify the school of any changes of address, telephone number or other contact information.

No food or drinks, except water, allowed in music rooms.

No children, whether Yoyi Music School students or otherwise, may be left unattended in the waiting area.

Students and families shall refrain from disruptive behavior and/or lack common courtesy and respect for instructors, administrators and fellow students; behavior that could be interpreted as sexual harassment; behavior that could be related to drug or alcohol use. 

Parents agree not to interfere with lessons.

Parents shall remain courteous at all times and direct concerns to the owners and managers and not to teachers, other students or parents. 


RELEASE OF LIABILITY

As the legal parent or guardian.  I understand that my child’s participation in music lessons or off-site events with Yoyi Music School may expose him/her to unforeseen risk of personal injury, death or property damage.  I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily allowing my child to participate in all lessons and events and agree to assume any such risks.

I hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue Yoyi Music School, its wonders, directors, agents, faculty or employees for any injury, death or damage to or loss of personal property arising out of or in connection with my child’s participation in any lessons or events from whatever cause, including the active or passive negligence of Yoyi Music School owners, staff or any other participants of Yoyi Music school.  In consideration for being permitted to participate in the School, I hereby agree, for my child, my heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless Yoyi Music school from any and all claims, demands, actions or suits arising out of us in connection with my child’s participation in any of the school’s events. I give Yoyi Music School permission to authorize emergency medical personnel to carry out such emergency diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as may be necessary for my child, and also permit such treatment procedures to be carried out at, and by local hospitals for my child in the event of an emergency.  I understand that any medical expenses will be billed directly to me or my insurance company. I agree to permit Yoyi Music school staff, agents and other guests to take photographs and/or video and audio recordings during School lessons and performance events without further recourse.  I understand that such photographic images, video, or audio recordings of my child may be used for commercial and/or promotional purposes.  I further understand that I may opt-out of this release with respect to photographs, videos and audio only by filing out and signing a Media Opt-Out form available at the Front Desk of the School.

I affirm that I have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the term and conditions of this contract for music instruction through Yoyi music school.  I fully understand that failure to abide by this contact will result in termination of this agreement and membership in the school will be revoked immediately.  I understand that I can also review these policies any time online at yoyimusic.org.  

Musical Instrument Rental

1.  EQUIPMENT: YOYI hereby leases to Renter the equipment designated on this Rental Agreement (the “Equipment”). 

2.  RENTAL TERM:  The rental will start on Renter’s receipt of the Equipment (begin date) and  continue on a month-to-month basis (“Rental Term”).  

3.  RENTAL PAYMENTS: Renter agrees to pay to YOYI as rent for the Equipment the amount for the full  Rental Term (“Rent”). YOYI is hereby authorized to post an Electronic Funds Transaction (“EFT”) to a  bank or credit card account provided by Renter for such rent payment.  

4.  RENTAL PURCHASE OPTION: YOYI will apply 100% of Renter’s first two months’ Rent (excluding  maintenance fees and taxes) toward the purchase of the Equipment. The Rental Purchase Option applies only if that item is purchased immediately at the end of the initial 2-month rental period.  Rental credit stops accumulating after the first two months. If this Option is not exercised, Renter  agrees to forfeit any accumulated purchase credit upon return of the Equipment to YOYI. 

5.  SECURITY:  Prior to taking possession of the Equipment, Renter shall provide a valid credit card as  security for the performance by Renter of the terms under this Agreement and for any damages  caused by Renter or Renter’s agents to the Equipment during the Rental Term.  Renter agrees to pay  full replacement cost of any equipment lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, and YOYI is hereby  authorized to charge retail price of the Equipment to Renter’s banking or credit card account, less any  applicable Rent. 

6.  DEFAULTS: If Renter fails to perform or fulfill any obligation under this Agreement, Renter shall be  in default of this Agreement. Subject to any statute, ordinance or law to the contrary, Renter shall  have seven (7) days from the date of  

notice of default by YOYI to cure the default. In the event Renter does not cure a default, YOYI may at  YOYI’ option (a) cure such default and the cost of such action may be added to Renter’s financial  obligations under this Agreement; or (b) declare Renter in default of the Agreement.  If Renter shall  become insolvent, or if a petition has been filed by or against Renter under the Bankruptcy Act or  similar federal or state statute or if charges to Renter’s credit card shall be declined by the issuer, YOYI  may immediately declare Renter in default of this Agreement.  In the event of default, YOYI may, as  permitted by law, re-take possession of the Equipment. 

7.  POSSESSION AND SURRENDER OF EQUIPMENT: Renter shall be entitled to possession of the  Equipment on the first day of the Rental Term. At the expiration of the Rental Term, Renter shall  surrender the Equipment to YOYI by delivering the Equipment to YOYI or an agent of agent in good  condition and working order, ordinary wear and tear excepted, as it was at the commencement of the  Agreement.  Renter may surrender the Equipment to YOYI prior to the end of the Rental Term,  however YOYI’ acceptance of such surrender shall not entitle the Renter to any refund or credit.  

8.  USE OF EQUIPMENT: Renter shall only use the Equipment in a careful and proper manner and only  for its intended purpose.  Renter will comply with all laws, rules, ordinances, statutes and orders  regarding the use, maintenance and storage of the Equipment.    

9.  CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT: Equipment is in good playing order when accepted by Renter. Upon  receipt of the Equipment, Renter shall inspect the same. Renter shall be deemed to have inspected the  Equipment and acknowledged the Equipment is in good and acceptable condition, unless YOYI shall  have received notice of any defect or damage immediately following receipt of the Equipment.   

10.  MAINTENANCE, DAMAGE AND LOSS; DAMAGE PROTECTION:  YOYI will hold a security deposit   fee at the beginning date in case of any damage and loss. Renter shall at all times be liable to  YOYI for the full replacement cost (security deposit fee) of the equipment leased hereunder. If there is any loss or unmendable damage to the equipment, whether by fire, theft, burglary,  fraud, mysterious disappearance, water, or casualty of any nature, YOYI will not return the security deposit. Renter will, at Renter’s sole  expense, keep and maintain the Equipment clean and in good working order and repair during the  Rental Term. In the event the Equipment is lost or damaged beyond repair, Renter shall pay to YOYI  the replacement cost of the Equipment; in addition, the obligations of this Agreement shall continue in  full force and effect through the Rental Term. YOYI is hereby authorized to charge Renter’s credit card  for any such repair or replacement charges.  

11.  REPRESENTATIONS of YOYI:  YOYI represents and warrants only as follows:   a) That it has the right to Rent the Equipment as provided in this Agreement;  b) That Renter shall be entitled to quietly hold and possess the Equipment;  

c) YOYI will not interfere with that right as long as Renter performs its obligations under this  Agreement;  

d) YOYI makes no representation with regard to the particular brand or manufacturer of the  Equipment rented hereunder. 

12.  OWNERSHIP:  The Equipment is and shall at all times remain the exclusive property of YOYI.  

13.  BINDING EFFECT: The covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement shall apply to and  bind the Parties and the heirs, legal representatives, successors and permitted assigns of the Parties.  

14.  ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and  supersedes any prior understanding or representation of any kind preceding the date of this  Agreement. There are no other promises, conditions, understandings or other agreements, whether  oral or written, relating to the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement may be modified in  writing and must be signed by both YOYI and Renter.  

15.  CUMULATIVE RIGHTS: YOYI’ and Renter’s rights under this Agreement are cumulative, and shall  not be construed as exclusive of each other unless otherwise required by law.  

16.  INDEMNIFICATION: Except for damages, claims or losses due to YOYI’ acts or negligence, Renter,  to the extent permitted by law, will indemnify and hold YOYI and YOYI’ property, free and harmless  from any liability for losses, claims, injury to or death of any person, including Renter, or for damage  to property arising from Renter using and possessing the Equipment or from the acts or omissions of  any person or persons, including Renter, using or possessing the Equipment with Renter’s express or  implied consent.
